Pastor Ronnie Cox

Pastor Cox has served the Ringgold Charge since July 2021.

Before coming to Ringgold, North Freedom, and Timblin Churches, Pastor Cox served at the Cooperstown Charge and the Lake City United Methodist Church. He also served as the youth minister at Park United Methodist Church. Before that, he was heavily involved in the leadership and ministry of CRU at Penn State Behrend.

Pastor Cox graduated with a Master of Divinity from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary in 2023 and was commissioned at WPA Annual Conference 2023.

Previously, Pastor Cox attended Northeastern Seminary, The Pennsylvania State University, Erie the Behrend College for Science, and is a graduate of Erie First Christian Academy in Erie, Pa. During his time at Penn State Behrend, Pastor Cox discerned the call into pastoral ministry.

Holding to Wesleyan theology, Pastor Cox believes strongly in Christian tradition and the Spirit's power to work in our lives. He believes strongly in the power of the Means of Grace, especially in acts of Mercy. He looks to help the churches he serves to grow in their faith by sharing the love of God with others through service and love. He considers his ministry and appointments to have affirmed his call to ministry and deepened his relationship with Christ and his church.

In 2017, Ronnie married the love of his life, Jamie. Pastor Ronnie and Jamie are the parents to two boys, Ezra and Isaiah, their two dogs, Perry and Cole, and their cat Violet.

In his spare time, Pastor Cox enjoys playing video games, woodworking, fishing, paddling, playing with his pets, and spending time with his family.
